Ocean Winds has signed an Agreement for Lease with The Crown Estate for a floating offshore wind site in the Celtic Sea. The site is the third awarded under Round 5 of the UK seabed leasing process, following Ocean Winds’ selection as a preferred bidder in November 2025.
The scheme could be developed in phases, with a total potential capacity of up to 1.5 GW over the coming decade. Early-stage development activities are expected to begin in the next few years. Ocean Winds is a 50-50 joint venture between EDPR and Engie.
