Mammoet has completed transport and handling work for the three offshore substations serving the Dogger Bank development off the northeast coast of England. Dogger Bank Wind Farm is being built in three phases by SSE, Equinor and Vårgrønn and will have an installed capacity of 3.6 GW when finished.
The substations were fabricated by Aibel in Thailand and Norway, with Mammoet supporting load-out, load-in and final load-out operations at both locations. The work involved moving each structure between fabrication sites and onto vessels for transport to the North Sea.
Mammoet supplied self-propelled modular transporters, jacking systems and ballasting equipment to complete the transfers. The substations have now been delivered to support installation activities for the Dogger Bank project.
