Haventus, owner and developer of Ardersier Port on Scotland’s east coast, and Dajin, a Chinese manufacturer of offshore wind foundations and operator of specialist transport vessels, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to explore potential cooperation in the UK and European offshore wind markets.
The agreement will cover how Dajin’s manufacturing and transport capabilities could be combined with Ardersier Port’s facilities to support fixed and floating offshore wind projects. The companies will also assess potential commercial opportunities and how the port could support the storage, marshalling, assembly and transportation of offshore wind components before delivery to projects at sea.
Ardersier Port has quayside land, deep-water access and a high-voltage power connection. The port is being developed to support the manufacturing, fabrication, assembly and storage of large structures for offshore wind and other energy projects.
Dajin manufactures foundation structures for fixed and floating offshore wind projects and operates a fleet of specialist King vessels.
