Enercon has started installing its E-92 turbines on a project in Quebec, Canada. This is the first time this model has been used in North America.
The German manufacturer is constructing 43 of the 2.35MW turbines at the 101MW Vents du Kempt project in Quebec. The turbines are being installed on pre-cast concrete towers, with a 98-metre hub height. Canadian wind developer Eolectric and private equity firm Fiera axium Infrastructure Canada are working together to develop the project.
