Areva is joining forces with Beluga Hochtief Offshore joint venture, to offer its customers an installation and maintenance solution for large-scale offshore wind parks in reduced time.
With this partnership, the group will provide a new package based on a purpose-built jack up vessel designed to operate in harsh weather conditions at greater depth. The customers will also benefit from economies of scales through the transportation of multiple sets of foundations and wind turbines during the construction phase. The company is optimising their offshore wind business model and meeting its strategic objectives to provide full lifecycle management with simplified key interfaces in the value chain: foundation installation, turbine design and erection, commissioning and maintenance services.
