Apex Clean Energy (Apex) has announced the sale of the Upland Prairie Wind project to Interstate Power and Light Company, an Alliant Energy Corporation subsidiary.
The 300 MW project is sited on approximately 30,000 acres in the northwest Iowa counties of Clay and Dickinson and consists of 121 wind turbines. Following completion by Apex of all development work, the project will be constructed and operated by Alliant.
