Alstom has signed a contract worth around € 320 million with Renova Energia to deliver, erect and commission 127 wind turbines in the Umburanas complex, located in Bahia State, Brazil.
The wind turbines, composed of ECO 122, ECO 110 and ECO 100 models, will be delivered between January 2017 and January 2018. The Umburanas wind complex will generate 355.5MW. This new order is part of an agreement signed between both companies in 2013, involving the supply of more than 440 wind turbines, for a minimum installed capacity of 1.5GW. The agreement also includes operation and maintenance services, for over €1 billion. The wind turbines will be produced at Alstom manufacturing unit in Camaçari, Brazil.
