Seatrium has received approval in principle from the American Bureau of Shipping for its OSS-500A offshore substation design with a capacity of 500 MW.
The OSS-500A design, a high voltage alternating current platform, is based on a modular concept an intended to allow deployment across different water depths, grid configurations and project sizes. The design incorporates structural and electrical systems intended to support future capacity expansion for offshore wind projects.
