Damen Shipyards Group has launched the second of two Commissioning Service Operation Vessels (CSOVs) ordered by Ta San Shang Marine (TSSM), a joint venture between Mitsui O.S.K. Lines of Japan and Ta Tong Marine of Taiwan.
The vessel, named TSS Challenger, is being built at Damen’s shipyard in Ha Long, Vietnam and is scheduled for delivery in early 2027. It will join the previously delivered TSS Cruiser in TSSM’s fleet. The CSOV 9020 vessels will support construction and maintenance activities at offshore wind farms in Taiwanese waters.
