Clobotics announces new drone based inspection system for wind turbinesClobotics Wind Services has introduced the 4.8 release of its IBIS autonomous drone-based inspection system. The updated Clobotics IBIS 4.8 combines Clobotics' AI-driven autonomous flight control software with the newly available Sony ILX-LR1 camera.
 
The Sony camera offers a full-frame sensor, sixty-one megapixels of resolution, faster shooting intervals and focus adjustment speed, improved focus control accuracy, and a longer shutter life. These improvements enable the capture of better images in the same or less time. Additionally, the release includes mechanical and software enhancements, allowing for:
Fully automated one-button takeoff
Inspection of turbines with blades up to 135 meters in length in a single flight
Nearly 20% reduction in inspection time for a wind turbine with 60-meter blades, from 21 minutes to 17 minutes
