Driving the Wind Energy Industry through Science


The EWEA Annual Event, formerly known as EWEC, will take place between 14 and 17 March in Brussels, Belgium. The conference consists of 40 sessions featuring over 200 prominent speakers and more than 300 specialised poster presentations. The EWEA annual exhibition in 2011 will be the largest ever.

HUSUM WindEnergy 2010

International Trade Fair for the Wind Power Industry

This year HUSUM WindEnergy, with its accompanying trade symposia, will take place from 21 to 25 September. Wind energy will continue to grow in importance as an economic factor, playing an increasing part in diversifying Europe’s electricity supply and helping efforts to combat climate change. Installed capacity is expected to increase by several times in the next 20 years. This growth is reflected by the size of this year’s event. Exhibition space has been expanded from 30,000m2 (2008) to about 43,000m2 in 2010 and the exhibitors are showing their products and services in six halls. Besides that, this year the congress will be held in the new 4,500m2 congress and event centre. The organisation is expecting around 950 exhibitors and 25,000 visitors from 70 nations, continuing the success and enjoyment of past exhibitions.

The World's Largest and Most Anticipated Annual Event for Wind Energy

The WINDPOWER 2010 Conference and Exhibition will take place from 23 to 26 May in Dallas, Texas, USA. This year’s conference programme includes 60 educational sessions organised into 6 tracks covering policy, business and technical issues. The WINDPOWER Conference Program offers a platform to discuss how our industry can create our energy future, strengthen our struggling economy, and lead to a sound, profitable energy market. The conference program will discuss perspectives, methods and strategies for maintaining and increasing profitability in an environment of technical, economic and political change. The European Wind Energy Conference and Exhibition 2010

Europe’s premier wind energy event goes to Poland

Players in the wind energy business from all over Europe will be meeting in Warsaw, Poland, from 20 till 23 April at the European Wind Energy Conference (EWEC) organised by the European Wind Energy Association (EWEA). Can wind power generate half of Europe’s electricity by 2050? Climate policies – including financial and regulatory incentives, moving offshore wind to the industrial stage, the development of global markets for wind energy, rotor aerodynamics and wind resource assessment, are among the issues on the agenda at the EWEC 2010 conference.

The conference will feature over 50 sessions and side events, more than 500 oral and poster presentations and in excess of 2,000 delegates. Over 200 exhibitors will show their products and services at the 5,000m2 exhibition floor. The WINDPOWER 2009 Conference and Exhibition will take place from 4 to 7 May in Chicago, Illinois, USA. This year’s conference programme includes over 300 speakers and moderators, 150 poster presentations, and 50 sessions on wind energy topics organised into sections with policy, business and technical focuses. More than 13,000 visitors are expected, and there are over 1,000 exhibitors presenting their products and services on the exhibition floor. Europe's Premier Wind Energy Event
