ZX 300M wind Lidar – the way to measure wind offshore

ZX 300M is the industry standard offshore wind LidarZX 300M is the industry standard offshore wind Lidar for reliable wind resource assessments. It's integrated into all commercial Floating Lidar Devices and it is deployed on more than 90% of all new offshore wind development projects globally. Our ZX 300M will be on display, along with our ZX TM, at renewableUK Global Offshore Wind on 14th and 15th June 2023 in London. This is a great opportunity to see our ZX 300M on dry land for once and discuss how our Lidars can help your offshore renewable energy projects. Visit us at Stand L32.

SkySpecs Acquires i4SEE to Expand Advanced Analytics and Predictive Maintenance Capabilities for the Global Wind Industry

skyspecsi4see social bannerSkySpecs is excited to announce that we have acquired i4SEE, a leader in fully automated wind turbine data analytics and fleet optimization. The combined entity brings together world-class data insight and automation to help wind farm owners and operators to optimally invest in, maintain, and manage their assets for sustainable returns.

By adding i4SEE’s capabilities to the SkySpecs portfolio, we will be able to provide many key benefits to wind farm owners and operators, such as:
  • Actionable insights that drive actual cost savings
  • Valuable information to help quantify and manage asset risks
  • Earlier and more accurate fault detection to reduce downtime

20th WINDFORCE: Stronger Together - Expanding Cross-Industry Supply Chains

WINDFORCE 2023 (Copyright Jan Oelker, Gemini)Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection Germany (BMWK), Dr. Robert Habeck, is the patron of the 20th WINDFORCE this year. This is where the international offshore wind supply industry meets. The country's partner from 12 to 14 June is Norway, as there is far-reaching potential for cross-border cooperation. Our motto this year: Stronger Together - Expanding Cross-Industry Supply Chains. According to the realisation agreement of the BMWK, 50 gigawatts are to be connected to the grid by 2035 and at least four gigawatts green hydrogen production in the North and Baltic Seas. Synergies are needed now! - The offshore wind industry combined with the maritime industry and the hydrogen economy offer great potential for employment and value creation. Over 300 national and international experts are expected to attend this international established class meeting of the industry. The WINDFORCE presents over 30 expert lectures, keynotes, dinner speeches and start-up presentations.

WindEurope’s Annual Event 2023 shows increasing demand for Lidar measurements, globally

WindEurope’s Annual Event 2023 shows increasing demand for Lidar measurements, globally
After a busy week in Copenhagen the ZX Lidars team reflects on a great event where the energy and enthusiasm around Lidar acceptance continues to grow. We are delighted to see more Lidars enter the European market, including the ground-based, vertical profiler ZX 300 entering the Polish market with windhunter services, Switzerland with Interwind, and EOLOS expanding their fleet of ZX 300M Lidars in response to increasing demand for floating Lidar globally.

ZX 300 is the most validated ground-based wind Lidar in the world, its data is accepted by leading wind consultants for energy yield assessments & site prospecting and it's accuracy has been demonstrated at the tallest met masts available globally. Offshore, ZX 300M is the industry standard wind Lidar for reliable wind resource assessments, integrated into all commercial Floating Lidar Devices, and is deployed on more than 90% of all new offshore wind development projects globally.

GE approves the use of the nacelle-based Lidar ‘ZX TM’ for Power Performance Testing

GE approves the use of the nacelle-based Lidar ‘ZX TM’ for Power Performance TestingIn anticipation of the release of IEC 61400-50-3, Use of nacelle-mounted lidars for wind measurements, and now in response to this new standard, GE Renewable Energy has approved the specific Lidar – ZX TM – from ZX Lidars, to measure the power curve of GE onshore wind turbines so they may be verified as a function of the Hub Height wind speed. In addition to hub height measurements specifically used for Power Performance Tests, operational rotor equivalent power curves can uniquely also be measured with ZX TM’s unique 50 points around the full rotor swept area, providing full veer and shear information. These measurements help to inform operational strategies relating to turbine performance outside of warranted conditions and may be particularly important for turbines with larger rotor diameters offshore and on sites with complex veer or shear profiles onshore.
