ZX Lidars UK Remote Sensing Test Site

Continuous Wave (CW) wind Lidars have exhibited sustained performance and reliability over more than a decade of operation, as evidenced by long-term studies presented in the paper "An Evaluation of Lidar Mechanical Operation and Performance Repeatability Across a 10-Year Period" at the WindEurope Technology Workshop, 2024. These devices, such as ZX Lidars' units #307 and #334, have consistently operated effectively across a range of climatic conditions, maintaining functionality in temperatures from -40°C to +50°C. This extended operational life, observed over more than 12 years, highlights the technological resilience and stability of CW Lidars. Their ability to deliver accurate wind measurements over prolonged periods supports their efficacy and cost-efficiency in wind energy applications.
