Renewable energy developer Green Switch Capital, now part of the Qair Group is conducting wind and noise assessments with ZX Measurement Services over a period of 12 months at the proposed 24MW Monashee Wind Farm located between Grantshouse and Duns, Scotland.The recent deployment of a ground-based, low-profile, ZX 300 wind Lidar and associated noise monitoring equipment allows for first studies to be conducted quickly and easily with no significant impact on the locality. Wind speeds are assessed from ground based to the target turbine heights without the need to install a traditional meteorological mast.
