Husum Wind 2025 will be preceded by a full-day offshore excursion on 15 September, offering industry professionals and exhibitors the chance to observe the development of offshore wind energy over the past fifteen years. Departing from Hamburg, the event takes place one day before the exhibition officially opens.
Organised by Messe Husum & Congress in cooperation with industry network WAB e.V. and ferry operator FRS Helgoline, the tour includes visits to 25 offshore wind projects. These range from early installations dating back to 2010 to the latest developments featuring 15 MW turbines. Sites operated by EnBW, EWE, Ørsted, RWE, Vattenfall, Ocean Breeze Energy, and TenneT Offshore are included, as well as projects under construction such as Borkum Riffgrund 3 and EnBW He Dreiht.
Expert commentary will be provided on board, offering technical and operational insights. The high-speed catamaran Halunder Jet, operated by FRS Helgoline, will depart from Hamburg at 7 am and return around 7 pm. Catering is included, and the excursion also serves as a platform for professional exchange and networking in a maritime setting.
