In 2024, a mix of Shift gearboxes, offshore and onshore powertrains will leave the plant in every day. ZF Wind Power has transformed its Belgian facility in Lommel into a serial production hub featuring three production lines for both offshore and onshore markets.

By integrating an offshore production line, the company aims to cater to the entire European offshore market. Serial production of onshore powertrains enables ZF to supply four powertrain variants for turbine platforms, delivering a power output of up to 7.2 MW. Alongside powertrain assembly, the modular gearbox design allows ZF to combine Shift gearbox platform assembly and testing capabilities. In 2024, a daily output from the Lommel, Belgium plant will include a mix of Shift gearboxes, offshore, and onshore powertrains.
