Windar Photonics has reported interim results for the six months to 30 June 2025. Operational progress included controlling more than 20% of installed Vestas V82 turbines in North America, starting a direct test project at a Goldwind wind farm in China, and expanding into new manufacturing facilities in Copenhagen that could increase capacity fivefold. Demand is broadening in North America and Asia, with several test projects underway.

Revenue rose 18% to €2.7 million, with stronger sales expected in the second half. Gross margins improved by two percentage points year-on-year, but the company posted a €0.2 million EBITDA loss due to higher marketing spend. Loss after tax was €0.7 million. Cash stood at €6.0 million, while currency headwinds led to a €0.5 million loss.

The company has split its services into two categories: optimisation, supported by WindEye, WindTimizer and Nexus OS; and monitoring, to be led by the new Nexus Turbine Performance Monitoring module and planned add-on software.

After the reporting period, Windar Photonics secured a US$2.6 million contract in North America, lifting its share of controlled V82 turbines in the region to over 25%. Initial China test results showed strong performance gains, raising expectations for new orders. Sales leadership was strengthened with new vice presidents for the Americas and Europe, while Vestas Multibrand Service in Asia agreed to promote Windar Photonics ’s solutions.

With €3.6 million in orders scheduled for delivery in the second half, the company said it is on track to meet full-year expectations despite tariffs and currency headwinds.
