Nigel Ward joined the company in 2025 as Managing Director of Subsea Services and brings more than 27 years of experience in commercial leadership, offshore construction and subsea operations across the renewables and oil and gas sectors.
Earlier in his career, Ward held board-level roles at several offshore construction companies. He served as Managing Director at Aratellus and co-founded Modus, where he spent more than a decade as Commercial Director and later Managing Director. He also held Commercial Director roles at CTC and DeepOcean UK, and previously worked at Saipem and EMC.
In his new position, Ward will oversee Venterra’s global commercial strategy. He succeeds Paul Doherty, who has stepped down from the role. Doherty founded Gavin & Doherty Geosolutions, the first company acquired by Venterra.
