TGS has announced changes to its executive management structure. Effective 1 June 2026, Mohammed Hegazy has been appointed Executive Vice President, Imaging, while Wadii El Karkouri will become Executive Vice President, Technology. The changes reflect TGS’ move towards a more specialised operating structure, with separate leadership for its Imaging and Technology activities.
Mohammed Hegazy will lead the Imaging business unit, focusing on imaging solutions, regional operations and subsurface imaging services. He has more than 20 years of experience in seismic acquisition, processing, imaging and digital solutions. Hegazy joined TGS in 2024 as Vice President for North America and Global Software Solutions, where he worked on operational and imaging delivery initiatives.
Wadii El Karkouri will oversee the company’s technology activities, including artificial intelligence-based solutions and digital capabilities for the energy sector. He joined TGS in 2024 and has more than 25 years of experience in energy and technology. Before joining TGS, he held senior positions at SLB and Amazon Web Services focused on technology and digital systems.
