Suzlon Windenergie GmbH delivered the offer document regarding the acquisition of the shares of REpower Systems AG.
On 9 February Suzlon proposed its counteroffer to the takeover bid from French AREVA S.A., which was published on 5 February 2007. As the offer is now available, a meeting between Suzlon?s chairman Tulsi Tanti and REpower?s board of directors in Hamburg is scheduled for Friday, 2 March 2007. "The meeting gives us the chance to now discuss the plans regarding our company announced by Suzlon personally. The offer itself will be investigated by the board in the next few days, so that we will soon be able to publish a reasoned opinion", REpower?s CEO Prof. Dr. Fritz Vahrenholt comments.
