OX2 has named Matthias Taft as its new chief executive, with Paul Stormoen moving to the board. Taft, formerly CEO of BayWa r.e., will take up the role on 1 September 2025.
He has spent 15 years at BayWa r.e., including 12 years as group CEO. He succeeds Stormoen, who has led OX2 since 2011, guiding the company’s growth from a Swedish onshore wind developer to an international independent power producer active across several technologies. Stormoen will remain on the board to support continuity.
