MEASNET, the international network of wind energy measurement institutes, has confirmed the election of its Executive Board during its annual Council of Members meeting, held in April in Madrid, Spain. The board members were re-elected to continue in their roles: Monika Krämer as Chairwoman, Alejandro Martínez as Vice Chairman, and Íñigo López as Treasurer.
The board will serve for the next two years and will guide the organisation through internal changes to address future challenges in the wind energy sector.
Monika Krämer has more than 30 years of international experience in renewable energy, with a particular focus on wind. She began working at windtest grevenbroich in Germany in 1998 and has been Managing Director since 2004. She has also been active in various expert committees and in MEASNET, where she has served as Chairwoman since 2010.
Alejandro Martínez has worked in anemometer calibration for over 20 years. Since 2005, he has participated in MEASNET’s Council of Members and the Anemometer Calibration Expert Group. He has also contributed to the development of the IECRE system, serving as convener of Task Force 3 and leading proficiency testing activities. He became an IECRE Lead Assessor in 2023.
Íñigo López entered the wind energy sector in 1999 with the founding of Acoustics Analysis. In 2005, he launched Aresse Engineering to provide testing, analysis, and validation services to the renewable sector. He has served as MEASNET Treasurer since 2017 and has now been confirmed in the role once again.
