Gamesa has reinforced its organisational structure in Latin America by appointing Hipólito Suárez as Managing Director for Mexico & Latin America (Latam).
This appointment makes Mr. Suárez the top executive for all of Gamesa’s business operations in Mexico and Latin America (the latter excluding Brazil, which is configured as an independent region within the company's organisational structure). Bilbao-born and a law graduate, Mr. Suárez previously worked for Gamesa for 14 years as director of legal counsel. He later joined law firm Uría & Menéndez as a partner in their corporate law department and, finally, served as general secretary of a family-owned company in Navarra. He re-joined Gamesa in 2013 as deputy managing director in Mexico and Latin America.
