Introducing WindCube Pure TI™, a physics based turbulence intensity (TI) reconstruction for WindCube® vertical profiling lidar

TI is critical for turbine selection, site suitability and load assessment, yet projects have long depended on met masts and cups for bankable TI. Vaisala’s WindCube Pure TI changes this by transforming 1 Hz WindCube data into 10‑minute TI at each measurement height up to 400 m, via an algorithm purpose‑built for vertical profiling lidar and delivered in Vaisala’s Compass® Renewable platform. Developers and OEMs can now rely on WindCube as a primary TI source.
