wpd AG and its financing banks have signed financing contracts for the Nordergründe offshore project.
The loans will be provided by KfW IPEX-Bank and the European Investment Bank (EIB) while 100% of the equity will come from wpd offshore GmbH. Now the finance for the entire investment of around € 410 million for the 111MW project off the coast of Lower Saxony is secured. The offshore construction work will begin in March 2016 and will be completed at the end of 2016 with connection to the grid.
