Near to the port of Blyth in Northumberland in the UK, an offshore wind farm will be developed by EDF Energy Renewables using 5 V164-8.0 MW turbines.
The turbines will be installed using the vessel Vole au vent from Jan de Nul Group. The vessel is 140 metres long and is equipped with four legs to lift itself above the sea level. The vessel can install all kinds of foundations and wind turbines in water depths up to 50 metres. The installation is expected in Q3 2017.
