The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) has published a public tender for a benthic survey at the Doordewind wind farm zone in the Netherlands. The survey aims to collect benthic data to verify the findings of a desktop study on reef detection in the Doordewind wind farm zone and establish a baseline measurement of the seabed environment. The results will support the preparation of site data for future offshore wind development in the area.

The Dutch government’s offshore wind roadmap targets 23 GW of installed offshore wind capacity. Wind Farm Zone 6/7 is expected to be included in a future update of the roadmap, with RVO responsible for providing the necessary site information for future projects.

The contract covers marine survey services under the EU public procurement framework. The planned contract period runs from 10 December 2026 until 31 December 2027, with a possible extension until 1 May 2028 if unforeseen external circumstances occur.

The tender evaluation will consider both quality and price. The main criteria include the project team, project execution plan, price, survey vessels and equipment, health and safety management, and quality management.

Companies can submit requests for additional information until 13 August 2026. Tender submissions are due by 1 October 2026. The contract has an estimated value of €700,000 excluding VAT.
