Situated off the French coast of Port-La Nouvelle and Gruissan in Southern France, Eolmed is a project developed by Qair, a European independent energy company, in collaboration with TotalEnergies and floating technology supplier BW Ideol. Mooreast has partnered with French Installation Contractor Bourbon Offshore to supply Mooreast’s MA5S mooring drag anchors. The latter will provide transport and installation services for the 30MW Eolmed project. Weighing up to 35 tonnes each, the anchors boast a holding power of up to 1,210 metric tonnes. They will be used to moor three floating wind turbines. The delivery of the anchors is expected by October 2024.
