juwi plans to set up its first large-scale wind farm on US soil in southeastern Nebraska. With its total capacity of 60MW, this installation will be the largest wind project that juwi has ever undertaken.
juwi’s US subsidiary, Flat Water Wind Farm LLC, has concluded a power
purchase agreement with regional energy provider Omaha Public Power
District (OPPD) stipulating that OPPD will purchase and feed into the
public grid all electricity produced by the wind farm over a 20-year
period. In addition to Flat Water, juwi intends to develop other wind
farms in the USA over the next three years: in Minnesota (approximately
20MW), in Ohio (approximately 50MW) and in Kansas (approximately 130MW).
