Enel has signed agreements to acquire an 830 MW portfolio of wind and solar plants in the USA. The transaction is being carried out through Enel Green Power North America and EGPNA Project Holdco 2, under agreements with Excelsior Energy Capital. The portfolio has a total installed capacity of 830 MW and an expected average annual generation of around 2.1 terawatt hours.
The agreed consideration is approximately 1 billion US dollars, equivalent to around 850 million euros, subject to customary adjustments. The enterprise value attributed to 100% of the portfolio is about 1.3 billion US dollars. The acquisition will be financed through cash flow from operations. Following completion, the Enel Group’s total installed capacity in North America is expected to reach around 13 GW, entirely from renewable sources including wind, solar and storage. Closing of the transaction is expected in the third quarter of 2026, subject to customary conditions.
