EDF Renewable Energy (EDF RE) has announced the company has entered into a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Great Plains Energy for the 150MW Slate Creek Wind Project in Kansas.
Slate Creek Wind Project, located on 17,000 acres approximately 50 miles south of Wichita, Kansas, in Sumner County, will consist of 75 Vestas 2.0MW wind turbines. Construction is expected to commence in late 2014 with commercial operation anticipated by the end of 2015.
