Capstone Infrastructure Corporation has awarded a retrofitting contract for its Erie Shores Wind Farm (Ontario, Canada) to Brüel & Kjær Vibro.
The project involves installing a drive-train condition monitoring and diagnostics solution for the 66 GE 1.5 MW wind turbines on site. The 99MW wind farm operates since 2006. The retrofit project includes a three-year contract with Brüel & Kjær Vibro to take care of all fault detection monitoring, diagnostics and action reports for the wind turbines. The scope of work also includes training and certification of Capstone’s own technicians in installing and maintaining the monitoring system hardware in the wind turbines.
