Boskalis, in consortium with TKF, has signed a contract with OWP Gennaker, developed by Skyborn Renewables, for the supply and installation of the inter-array cable system at the Gennaker offshore wind farm in the German Baltic Sea.
The scope covers approximately 140 kilometres of 66 kilovolt inter-array cables, which will connect 63 wind turbine generators at the site. TKF will manufacture the cables in the Netherlands, while Boskalis will carry out installation using its cable-laying vessel BOKA Ocean, with offshore works scheduled to begin towards the end of 2027. The Gennaker offshore wind farm is planned to have a total capacity of 976.5 MW. Commissioning of the project is expected in 2028.
