Statoil has awarded Aibel the contract for Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and EMA (Engineering & Management Assistance) of substructures for the Hywind Scotland Pilot Park offshore wind farm.
The contract has an estimated value of approx. NOK 40 million. The project comprises a FEED study and a subsequent detailed EMA phase for the development of substructures for the five new floating wind turbines. The turbines will be installed in the field off the east coast of Scotland. Project completion is expected in 2017.
