Acciona Windpower has completed a turbine supply agreement with Apex Clean Energy, developer of the 165MW Cameron Wind farm, which has been purchased by Ikea Group.
The agreement includes the supply of 55 Acciona Windpower AW125/3000 turbines and a 20-year full service warranty. The Cameron Wind farm is located in South Texas, USA. Each turbine will have a rotor diameter of 125 metres and a 3MW generator mounted on an 87.5 metres steel tower. Acciona plans to begin turbine deliveries in mid-2015, and the project is expected to reach commercial operation in late 2015.
