Umoe Mandal has developed a new series of crew transfer vessels (CTV) as the next generation of high-speed vessels. The vessels are specifically designed to increase the productivity and availability of O&M teams.

The Norwegian shipbuilding company utilises the Danish/Norwegian-based software company, Shoreline Wind, for delivering outputs for maintenance strategies and costs for offshore wind developers and operators. The fleet of CTVs for offshore wind includes their lightweight Wavecraft Commander and Sprinter series that can reach a speed of 50 kn and offer safe access to turbines in sea states up to 2,5 Hs. Umoe Mandal has selected Shoreline Wind’s O&M Design software to support the vessels with generating reliable maintenance strategies. The company uses the software to simulate realistic and complex scenarios of multiple maintenance programs utilizing real-life data from both their CTV vessels and their clients’ wind farm projects.
