The 8MW Mitsubishi-Vestas Offshore V164 was for the first time hoisted into the LORC nacelle function test bed using Lindoe - Port of Odense´s gantry crane.
With a weight around 400 tonnes, the nacelle was hoisted into the facility through the test centre’s removable roof-top and positioned, with millimeters accuracy, on the test bed within a few hours. The nacelle is now being prepared for an intensive test program expected to last for several months.
