Argentina could source 8% of its total electricity from renewables by 2017 as the result of a recent energy auction in which developers won the right to develop 17 renewable energy projects with a combined capacity of 1,109MW, the government said.
The country currently sources about 1.8% of its total electricity from renewables. (source Reuters)
