OutSmart has announced that Koen Baeten has joined the company as general manager for the Belgian market. Baeten has over 10 years of experience in the wind energy sector, more specifically in the production of steel constructions for offshore wind. Baeten spent most of his wind career working for the Smulders Group.
After fulfilling several functions in the steel- and building industry for the European market for over a decade (QA/QC manager, project manager, purchasing, subcontracting), Baeten decided to rejoin the Smulders Group. He became plant manager and set up the Hoboken production facility. Baeten worked as general manager for several divisions of this company and has been involved in commercial aspects, as well in contract negotiations and project management.
