This is the final approval of these two projects from BOEM, following the agency’s April 2024 Record of Decision.

The European Investment Bank (EIB) is supporting the construction of a new 1.1 gigawatt (GW) wind farm in the North Sea by RWE with a loan of €1.2 billion. The Thor wind farm, located in the Danish part of the North Sea, will consist of 72 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 15 MW provided by Siemens Gamesa.
