AMSC ‘s revenues for the second quarter of fiscal 2015 (ended September 30, 2015) were US$ 19.0 million, compared with US$ 12.5 million for the same period of fiscal 2014. The year over year growth in revenues was provided by both operating segments, but particularly the company's Wind segment. In the second quarter of fiscal 2015, they increased revenue by more than 50% year-over-year as a result of strength in their wind business and they delivered significantly improved gross margin as compared to the same quarter a year ago.

China Ming Yang Wind Power Group Limited has announced that its Board of Directors has received a preliminary non-binding proposal letter, dated November 2, 2015, from its Chairman and CEO, Mr. Chuanwei Zhang, to acquire all of the outstanding ordinary shares of the company not already beneficially owned by Mr. Zhang in a "going-private" transaction for US$ 2.51 per American Depository Share or ordinary share in cash.
