Scottish Renewables has appointed Claire Mack, currently Director of Policy and Place at SCDI, as the organisation’s new Chief Executive.
DNV GL has named Patricia Darez as country manager for Chile. Darez has delivered more than 3GW of renewable energy assets, including wind and solar PV, across diverse markets in Europe, Africa, Middle East and the Americas.

Metyx Group has just concluded a ‘multi-machinery’ deal with Karl Mayer Technische Textilien for the supply of new warp knitting production lines to provide 12,000 metric tonnes of additional glass and carbon fibre multiaxial fabric knitting capacity. The new capacity will increase production both in Turkey, further expanding its main factory at Manisa, as well as for additional overseas manufacturing facilities as part of a multinational strategic growth plan.
Five Siemens Gamesa turbines of 6MW have now been installed on floating foundations in Stord, Norway, at the 30 MW “Hywind Scotland” project. From the deep fjord outside Stord on the west coast of Norway, the floating wind turbines will be towed to Scottish waters. The world´s largest floating wind project will be located 25 kilometers off the coast of Peterhead in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, at water depths between 90 and 120 meters.
GeoSea has announces that, following successful completion of the design, it also received the Notice to Proceed for fabrication and offshore installation of 16 wind turbine foundations and 1 Offshore Transformer Module (OTM) for the EnBW Albatros offshore wind farm, for which GeoSea is Siemens’ EPCI partner.
Erdem Holding A.S. has placed another order with Nordex to deliver and install a wind farm. The manufacturer is to supply ten N131/3900 turbines for the Eber wind farm.
EDF Energies Nouvelles (EDF EN) has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the Stoneray wind project which has 100 MW in capacity, via its North American subsidiary, EDF Renewable Energy.
Senvion has closed the financial contract for the Alibunar wind farm in Serbia with Elicio NV, for the delivery, installation and commissioning of 21 Senvion MM100 turbines.
