Iberdrola receives planning approval for Windanker offshore wind farm

Iberdrola has completed the planning approval process for the Windanker offshore wind farm and has received approval from the German Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH). The project is now progressing towards the start of construction in the German Baltic Sea.
Vestas secures firm order for Nordlicht 1 offshore wind project in Germany

Vestas has received a firm order from Vattenfall for 68 V236-15.0 MW wind turbines for the Nordlicht 1 offshore wind project in Germany. The contract includes the supply, installation, and commissioning of the turbines, along with a five-year service and warranty agreement, followed by a 25-year operational support agreement.
Eiffage to acquire HSM Offshore Energy

Eiffage, through its Belgian subsidiary Smulders (part of Eiffage Métal), has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of HSM Offshore Energy. HSM Offshore Energy is an integrated provider of engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning (EPCIC) solutions, specialising in electrical and mechanical systems for offshore energy projects.

Gurit appoints Dr. Tobias Lührig as new CEO

Gurit has appointed Dr. Tobias Lührig as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 July 2025. Dr. Javier Perez-Freije, the company’s Chief Financial Officer and current acting CEO, will continue to lead Gurit until Lührig assumes the role, after which Perez-Freije will return to his position as Chief Financial Officer.
OX2 begins construction of 472 MW onshore wind power in Finland

OX2 has made an investment decision for two onshore wind farms in Finland, with a combined capacity of 472 MW. The investment exceeds €700 million, and the wind farms will remain under OX2’s ownership once completed. Construction is now underway, and the projects are expected to generate approximately 1.6 terawatt-hours of renewable energy annually.

Ilmatar sells Korpilevonmäki wind farm in Finland

Ilmatar has agreed to sell the Korpilevonmäki wind farm in Säkylä, Southwest Finland, to the UB Renewable Energy Fund, part of the Finnish asset management group United Bankers. The fund will initially acquire a 40% stake, with the remaining 60% to be transferred once certain conditions are met.
