Sicme Motori develops custom PM generators for Polaris

Sicme Motori has agreed to provide Polaris with custom-made, high efficiency generators engineered specifically to fit optimally into the Polaris’s series of small wind turbines. The initial power ranges are from 10kW to 100kW and are directed towards community, agricultural and small industrial applications. Sicme Motori engineering staff have developed an optimal electromechanical solution for each turbine size, according to Polaris technical specifications. Each generator is a unique solution specific to the Polaris turbine, including custom voltage windings, specific power-speed rating, extended shafts, direct drive (no gears) and oversized bearings.
