ACCIONA Energía is currently building three wind parks in Germany. At the same time, it is constructing two wind parks in France that will increase its installed capacity by 58% up to 60MW.
The German wind parks under construction are Langenrieth (14MW), Möglenz (10MW) – both with 2MW turbines – and Uebigau II (16MW) – with eight 1.5MW and two 2MW turbines. Then there is a further 1.5MW in the Rehfeld wind park. All these facilities are located in the State of Brandenburg and represent an investment of over € 58 million. In France, the company is building two wind parks in the region of La Vendée (Loire Valley) totalling 22.25MW through La Compagnie du Vent (a company 50% owned by the Group). One of these facilities – Brem sur Mer (4.25MW) – has five 850kW wind turbines, and its completion is expected before the end of 2005. It represents an investment of € 5 million. The second – Espinassière – will have installed capacity of 18MW with nine 2MW turbines. The investment in this project is over € 20 million and it will be grid connected in spring 2006.
