Europe’s wind industry proposes new offshore wind deal to accelerate growth

Europe’s wind industry has proposed a new deal aimed at speeding up and de-risking the development of offshore wind energy in Europe. The proposal calls for European governments to auction at least 100 GW of offshore wind capacity between 2031 and 2040, using two-sided Contracts for Difference (CfDs).

Deme signs agreement to acquire Norwegian offshore wind infrastructure company Havfram

Deme has signed an agreement to acquire Havfram, an offshore wind contractor based in Norway. Havfram, which currently employs around 50 people and is headquartered in Oslo, is in the process of building two wind turbine installation vessels.
