EOLOS has deployed its FLS200 floating LiDAR buoy contracted by Royal Dutch Shell, 60km off the coast of Ulsan, South Korea. The floating wind company Hexicon and local integrated service provider Coens gave notice of its joint development agreement with Shell New Energies in 2019.
EOLOS was elected by Shell to provide the turn-key services of a floating LiDAR campaign for wind resource and met-ocean measuring. CoensHexicon was established in 2018 by the South Korean service provider Coens based in Busan, South Korea and the Swedish developer of twin turbine foundations Hexicon. CoensHexicon is developing the emerging South Korean offshore wind market in deeper waters utilising its twin turbine foundation concept.
