SSP Technology A/S from Denmark and Energy Composites Corporation from the USA have signed an agreement with the purpose of entering into a strategic partnership and to establish a joint venture called American Blade Components.
The partnership agreement and the joint venture will support both companies’ efforts to supply blades to wind turbine generators for US customers. SSP Technology will offer customers the complete aerodynamic and structural design for blades and moulds, production of prototype blades, and ramp-up of blade production based on the partnership with Energy Composites Corporation. Energy Composites Corporation will manufacture blades for all customers based either on the customers own design or on blade design developed via the partnership with SSP Technology A/S. American Blade Components will manufacture moulds and pre-fabricated root segments for both companies and their customers.
