The 4th generation SCADA system from kk-electronic, called KK-PILOT, includes technologies to solve many of the challenges that the wind farm owners face with traditional SCADA systems. Furthermore, KK-PILOT can monitor several wind farms simultaneously.
The management system, which is accessed by a web portal, allows users to view and manage information from a lot of different sources, e.g. weather forecasts, commodity & stock exchange and of course the running operations of the wind turbine. The information accessible is also capable of being differentiated according to the specific user. Underneath the interface lies alarms and data logging capabilities as well as configuration and command handlers in the park and station applications. It is possible to tailor-make the system according to the needs of the individual customer. The extensions can be made by or in cooperation with kk-electronic or entirely by the customer. The management system is based on an open platform with standard interfaces.
