Mayflower Wind has outlined plans for a 1,200MW offshore wind farm in Massachusetts, USA, including connecting the project to land using a 70-mile undersea cable.
The company expects to file federal permitting plans early next year and secure approval in 2023 with expected start-up in 2025. Mayflower Wind Energy (Mayflower Wind) is a joint venture of Shell New Energies (Shell) and EDPR Offshore North America (EDPR).
